Role and Duty

Roles and Responsibilities of the DAC

  • Develop national strategic and national action plans on disability;
  • Leads, organizes, implements and reports on the Implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities;
  • Promotes the implementation of Laws, Policies and Regulations related to disability and rehabilitation;
  • Proposes revisions, additional completion or amendments of laws, policies, and regulations related to disability;
  • Monitors and evaluates the implementation of policies, national plans, laws and regulations related to disability;
  • Assists the relevant ministries, institutions and organizations to develop policies, national plans and strategies related to disability and rehabilitation;
  • Organizes national, international and other events related to disability;
  • Provides technical advice on disability and rehabilitation.
  • Communicates with national and international communities for the purpose of exchanging experiences and to mobilize resources from internal and external;
  • Develops the national report on situations of persons with disabilities for the Royal Government.
